Poetry

What do I do when I want to capture beauty in a flash, share stories in miniature or just play around with words? I turn to this form of expression.

Rhyme

Here's one example from my more moralistic days.

Free Verse

Imagery, emotion or thought guided the course of these poems more than structure.

Shape

I arranged this poem's text to visually enhance the "splits" between coolness and heat, leisure and urgency, innocence and the loss of it.

Imitative

Below: a scene from John Milton's Paradise Lost in the manner of Alexander Pope's witty couplets (or, per me, "Popelets") and a piece in Edmund Spenser's more florid, uniquely structured style.
